The son of the late Charles E. Kelly and Kathy Rigney Kelly, he was born on July 13 in Middletown.
A veteran of the United States Navy, Corky served his country from 1988-1992. He was a member of the American Legion Post 1308, Catholic War Veterans and The Church of the Infant Saviour Church. He also gained the rank of Eagle Scout.
Corky was an avid walker and exercise was his No. 1 priority. On any given day, rain or shine, you would see him walking. He was proud of all the miles he had traveled, and he had just reached a 2,000-mile mark last month.
Family was first and he was proud to be a Kelly. Corky had an infectious smile, was the kindest soul you could meet, and always made time to talk to anyone.
He was an employee of the Sunset in New Windsor.
Survivors include his sister, Kathy Towers and her husband Albert of Pine Bush; his favorite niece, Kaylee; and beloved aunts, Aunt Weck, Aunt Nan, Aunt Eileen, Aunt Patti, and Aunt Maureen. Corky is further survived by many cousins and friends, and is predeceased by his parents, Charles and Kathy Kelly, and many aunts and uncles.
